Hello,
I just visited a friend of mine, Shirley Welindt, who lived in the Memory Care Unit on the locked side. She passed away yesterday so I will not be coming back again. However, I just wanted to let you know how impressed I was with Blondine, a nurse who took care of Shirley. Blondine was so kind to me & helped me resolve a problem. Most importantly, she was so caring & affectionate with my friend, Shirley Welindt, whom I was visiting. To see someone interact in such a caring manner with a person who has dementia, touched my heart. It makes me feel grateful that there are people like Blondine in the world. She is an angel. I will always remember her kindness to Shirley & to me. It is so vitally important & meaningful to know that someone you care about is being taken care of by someone who is kind & gentle. It gave me tremendous peace of mind to have the image of Blondine’s caring face next to my friend, Shirley’s bed. Like the goodnight prayer about four angels around my head. I hope there were three more exactly like Blondine. What a remarkable nurse!
